My friend is LiveTweetBlogging her ride on an apparently very special SF bus.

  • S: Aw, good ole 14 Mission.
  • S: The guy behind me says he's been on vacation "for 90 days, been out about two weeks." He's on his way to the methadone clinic. Other patrons are discussing the other closer clinics. 16th and Capp apparently. Oh shit everyone just jumped off the bus to catch 14L. Wait half of them just got back on. Wtf is going on. They are getting off again.
  • S: OMG. Someone's playing "Smack That" on their phone and there are four other unrelated people singing along with it. They are standing up and dancing now on the bus! I should be filming not typing this
  • Although I live in Pacific Heights (yes they do call is Specific Whites for a reason), I occasionally long for the NYC grittiness of living in the Mission. I then I read about this Muni experience and am grateful for the relative peace and quiet of the 38L.
